Swingin' in L.A.
If interested in showing off some newly discovered swing moves, there
are a number of places in Hollywood one can go no matter what one's age
is.
These include:
Red & the Red Hots keep the floors dancing and swinging with swing
music reminicent of the 1940's. Must be at least 21 years of age. Cover
charge is $7. Located at 4500 Los Feliz Blvd., Hollywood. For more information

- Cats Corner at the Hollywood Dance Center
This non-drinking swing club features free dance lessons at 8 p.m.,
followed by modern swing music, and is open to all ages, with a $7 cover
charge. It is located at 817 North Highland Ave., Hollywood. For more information

Intercultural World Series
Angela Davis lectures on "Justice and Equality in the 21st Century"
in Occidental College's Thorne Hall, 1600 Campus Road, Los Angeles. Davis
will speak Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free and open to
