La Verne's Police and Fire Departments held their annual Open House
Saturday. Young children attended and enjoyed the live demonstrations, including
car fires and mock arrests. Several children spent their day trying on the
firemen's turnout jackets, including Ian Graham who looks up at his mother
from under the heavy weight of a captain's helmet.
