Alternative Christmas Fair
It is never too early to go shopping for Christmas. The 15th annual
Alternative Christmas Fair will be held at the La Verne Church of the Brethren,
Nov. 15, from 2-4:30 p.m. There will be booths and exhibits from Church
World Service, Heifer Project International, Habitat for Humanity and SERRV
Gifts which are handcrafted from countries around the world. The Church
of the Brethren is located on the corner of Bonita Avenue and E Street.
Movies Opening
Movies opening in general release across the country today:
- "The Siege" -- starring Denzel Washington,
Annette Bening, Bruce Willis.
- "The Waterboy" -- starring Adam Sandler,
Kathy Bates, Henry Winkler.
- "Living Out Loud" -- starring Holly Hunter,

- "Elizabeth" -- starring Cate Blanchett,
Geoffrey Rush, Chris Eccleston.
Concerts in Los Angeles
Tonight at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, Buck-O-Nine rocks the house.
Even if one does not like ska, Buck-O-Nine puts on a show.
On Monday, Nov. 9, the Cardigans will perform at the Troubadour.
