The Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met in the West Dining Room Wednesday, March 3, at 8:34 a.m. Forum members discussed plans for the Multicultural Week celebration and gave input to John Lentz, director of campus safety and transportation, and Brian Worley, director of facilities management, regarding the possible implementation of a parking permit system on the ULV campus.

Multicultural Fair

ASF agreed to contribute to the event through financial contributions. On a unanimous agreement, the Forum voted to allocate an amount not to exceed $1,500 for the festivities.

Multicultural Week festivities will take place March 15-19 in the Quad, with the Fair scheduled for March 16.

Permit System

Lentz and Worley presented ideas and prospective plans to implement a parking permit system on campus. The plan includes a fee for any students or administration who utilize their vehicle on the campus.

Any profits will benefit the maintenance, not the construction, of a parking structure in the future.

A majority of the Forum voted for implementing the system with a fee for the purchase of permits. Lentz and Worley hope to approach other University groups to get further input and may hold an open forum to receive additional feedback from students and administration.
