Dance Tickets
Members of the Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum will continue
selling tickets for this year's Spring dance at the Seal during several
days of the week.
The dance, which is scheduled for April 10, is open to students for
a price of $20 per couple, $15 per person and $8 per person for groups of
5 or more. The last day to purchase tickets is Friday, March 26.

4677. Students may also purchase tickets at the University Bookshoppe during
its regular business hours.
Poetry Contest
The International Library of Poetry is offering $48,000 in prizes through
the American Open Poetry Contest. Poets, primarily beginners, are invited
to enter the competition for a chance to win their share of the 250 prizes.
To enter the contest, submit one original poem-on any subject, any style-to
The International Library of Poetry, Suite 1947, 1 Poetry Plaza, Owing Mills,
MD 21117-6282. Contestants may also log on to www.poetry.com
to enter. The submission should be no more than 20 lines, and the poet's
name and address should appear at the top of the page.
Entries must be postmarked or sent via the Internet by April 15. Another
contest opens up April 16.
Reception
A reception honoring Cheri Honkala's visit to the University of La Verne
will be held in the West Dining Room on Tuesday. The event is scheduled
to take place from 5:30-6:15 p.m., and will be followed by a presentation
in Founders Auditorium at 6:30.
Honkala is an active member of several welfare rights organizations,
and has, in the past, addressed the United Nations about the relationship
between human rights and poverty.
