Homecoming week officially got under way Monday night at the annual Illumination ceremony, an event to introduce the Homecoming court to the University of La Verne community. This year's ceremony was held in front of Founder's Hall and was emceed by Eric Bishop, associate professor of journalism. The 1999 Homecoming princesses are (l to r) seniors Araceli Esparza, Kristi Burks, Dana Hazen, Angelica Martinez and Elizabeth Rodarte.
