Training Workshops

The Center for Teaching & Learning will be offering a host of short workshops in technology tools that are used during the practice of teaching. Topics will include:

Word
PowerPoint
Blackboard
Smart Classroom Technology
Scanning
FrontPage
Excel
Intro to Computers
Using the Smart Cart

These workshops are essential in building basic knowledge of particular tools, or can be used by the expert as a refresher. One-on-one assistance will also be available. Sessions such as:

Setting Up a Grade book in Blackboard,
Creating a Faculty Website,
Putting Images in PowerPoint,
Video-to-Go,

will be the themes as technology application is learned in a practical manner. We will also focus on the implication of course design on the technology tool being used to mediate the content. Offerings such as:

Blackboard 117 and 118 will guide faculty through a series of step-by-step sessions from beginning to end on developing a Blackboard course with learning outcomes in mind. Contact the CTL to be enrolled in these helpful tutorial courses
