Between practicums, students participate in two types of teams--learning group and virtual teams.
The learning groups meet in the local geographical area with a faculty member who is a distinguished practitioner in the field. Learning Groups provide local support, coaching, mentoring and networking for both organizational leadership and research. The faculty serves as a guide for the leadership development plan and as a coach for application of knowledge and skills. Faculty also serves as a coach for research.
The work of virtual teams are connected with work in their arena or related to community activities. Virtual teams allow students to develop new technological skills, as well as to deepen their learning on new theory and practice. It also enhances networking of students across the state.
