Technology Requirements
The ULV doctoral program requires students to use technology to learn, conduct research, and communicate regularly with faculty and other students. Listed below are the minimum hardware and software requirements that students need to access the ULV network, obtain program information, download course guides, take online courses, participate in online discussions, and communicate with faculty and fellow students. The Ed.D. program uses WebCT for content delivery and communications and Adobe Breeze Live for Webinars.
- PC compatible computer with CD-Rom drive and sound capabilities including microphone for 2-way voice communication
- Internet broadband connection (DSL, cable, satellite, etc.)
- Internet service provider with unrestricted access to the Web (note: firewalls and e-mail SPAM filters may inhibit access.)
- Individual e-mail service
- Windows XP or 2000 Professional
- Internet Explorer 6 or higher
- Adobe Flash Player (download from www.adobe.com)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher (download from www.adobe.com)
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint XP or later
- Microsoft Media Player 10 or higher
