Bio:

Anthony Hernandez's academic and professional interests include law and higher education policy particularly as they relate to equal opportunity and access issues, and the educational value of diversity.

Prior to joining the University of La Verne, he served with distinction as a senior analyst at University of California All Campus Consortium on Research for Diversity (UC/ACCORD) at UCLA, where he helped conduct research on patterns of access and equity for low income and minority students in California's public schools.

Mr. Hernandez is actively involved with the development of local community educational initiatives. He also works with several local outreach organizations to help students from inner-city Los Angeles realize college and graduate school success.

He has held previous appointments at Harvard University, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Mr. Hernandez earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University. His studies and research at Harvard also included training in leadership, strategy, and administration, at Harvard Business School and John F. Kennedy School of Government.
