New Federal Grant Programs
The U.S. Department of Education recently introduced two new federal grant programs to meet the growing need for refocus on math and science education. Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) and Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART Grant) are for undergraduate students who are Federal Pell Grant recipients and who meet grant requirements. The grant programs goes into effect as of the 2006-07 academic year. Information regarding these grants is available at: http://www.studentaid.ed.gov/
