ULV Posting Policy

Flyers/posters will be posted by Office of Student Life staff only on a daily basis. Posting over or removing material will not be allowed. This service provided by the Office of Student Life is an effort to maintain our current facilities at the highest possible standard and to ensure that only approved materials be posted on campus.

All publicity appearing on bulletin boards must be stamped by the Office of Student Life, located on the second floor of the ULV Bookstore. Postings will be approved for a maximum of 14 days. Extensions may be granted by the Office of Student Life for official University business only.

Materials will be taken down immediately after the advertised event has occurred by Office of Student Life staff.

Publicity items will only be posted on bulletin boards labeled "Office of Student Life Bulletin Board." Violation of this policy is a misdemeanor pursuant to the California Education Code and may result in the loss of your posting privileges.

Posters are to be no larger than 11" x 17" and must contain the name and contact information (phone number, email address and/or postal address) of the sponsoring group (or individual) visibly on the poster. The event, time, place, and cost/price/donation (when applicable), must also be stated. Student Bulletin Boards will be checked daily and removal of information will be at the discretion of the Office of Student Life.

Only one poster is allowed per board or kiosk, regardless of board size.

Only thumbtacks will be used (no staples or tape) to post on bulletin boards.

Bulletin boards in each of the campus residence halls must also be stamped by the Office of Housing and Residential Life prior to posting. Information regarding the use of these boards may be obtained from the Housing and Residential Life office located in the Oaks B-bottom.

Posting is not permitted in the areas other than designated Student Bulletin Boards and Kiosks (therefore walls, windows, trees, light posts, park benches, building label signs, car windows, etc. are not appropriate posting places).

Flyers/notices can be distributed by hand but cannot be placed on vehicles in any manner.
