The University of La Verne accepts applications and admits graduate students year round. New semesters begin in September and February; opportunities exist in most master’s programs for summer coursework. Some programs are offered on a term basis; begin in October, January, March, and June.
Although many of ULV’s programs have no standard application deadline, it routinely takes four to eight weeks to complete the admissions process. Applying well ahead of time will eliminate the risk of not having an admission decision before it’s time to register for classes. This is particularly important for students seeking financial aid, because loan checks are disbursed only to admitted students at the time of registration.
Some ULV graduate programs allow students to take a class or two on a visitor basis prior to application or admission. Visitor status, however, does not insure a positive admission decision; only students who meet admission standards will actually be admitted to a ULV graduate program.
