The MHA is the graduate degree most sought by health services professionals who wish to enhance and secure their future in management and administration in the healthcare industry.

Through this degree, students:

The MHA Program consists of twelve courses, for a total of 36 semester hours, each offered on a ten-week term basis. The program is comprised of:

5-Core Courses (15 semester hours)
4-Concentration Courses (12 semester hours)
3-Research and Culminating Courses (9 semester hours).

Designed by industry professionals, the core courses provide the key competencies essential for effective health services management. All MHA students must complete the following three unit core courses:

HSM 500 Managing and Leading in Health Services Organizations
HSM 501 Recent Trends and Issues in Health Services
HSM 502 Financial and Cost Analysis
HSM 503 Healthcare Economics or
HSM 580 Economics of Managed Care
HSM 504 Organizational Communications

Classes are held evenings and weekends to accommodate the schedule of working professionals.
