Students can take a major or minor in History or Political
Science or a major in Social Sciences or International
Studies. The Department's International Studies Institute
provides forums, conferences, and lectures on local,
national, and international topics, and arranges annual trips
to the United Nations in New York through its Model U.N.
program. Students are encouraged to balance theory and
practice through internships and study abroad programs, and
to take advantage of the Department's pre-law advising for
those considering a career in law.
