The Honors Colloquium explores contemporary issues through the collective attendance at and discussion of lectures, videos, plays concerts, museums, student project presentations, art exhibits, and other topical events on campus.
Campus events are designated by the instructor as Honors Colloquium events, and each colloquium member selects 10 events to attend, including at least one concert, one lecture, one art opening , one theatrical performance, and the designated off-campus colloquium event for the term. In addition to attending 10 designated events, students must participate in 8 post-event discussions (which immediately follow the events) and report on all 10 events online, using Honors 370 Blackboard. Through the Honors Colloquium Honors students from all classes, freshmen through seniors, meet and interact while attending some of the best activities that the University has to offer. To become an Honors Program Graduate, a student must take three semesters of Honors 370.
