For those students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and motivation, the ULV Honors Program provides an interdisciplinary curriculum enriched with specialized and innovative courses, opportunities to integrate skills gained in diverse disciplines, more individualized attention, outreach and extracurricular activities for participants, and greater access to study facilities.

Are you curious about how the pieces of your world fit together?
The Honors core, consisting of four Interdisciplinary Honors Seminars and a Senior Seminar, combines traditional academic disciplines in creative and unusual ways. These team-taught classes encourage students to appreciate the inter- relatedness of knowledge and to establish their own connections among various areas of inquiry.

Do you enjoy associating with other students who share your intellectual curiosity?
Honors Program participants enjoy the stimulating interchange and community spirit that result from class discussions as well as from co-curricular activities. The Honors Colloquia, a series of event-based courses that explore contemporary issues in the arts, ecology, economics, ethics, international relations and other fields, promote group cohesion and friendship based on shared experience.

Honors Program students may be eligible for many benefits, including: merit scholarships, honors designation on diploma, mentor relationships with faculty and distinguished alumni, opportunities for original research, attendance at national and regional honors conferences, specialized academic advising, honors interchange semesters with other colleges and universities, ... and more! In addition, Honors seniors are recognized at a special Commencement ceremony to which family, friends, and faculty are invited to celebrate the graduates' achievements.
