The
-Articulation Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding duties include: directing and developing Articulation Agreements and Memorandum of Understandings with California Community colleges; acting as primary liaison; initiating faculty participation and approvals; developing and implementing an annual review process.
-Transfer Advising duties include: directing outreach strategies to advise Community College students on site at their respective transfer centers in order to achieve transfer, enrollment and revenue goals; establishing an advising schedule; collaborating with academic departments to provide major specific advising; exchange events and matriculation services; designing and implementing an electronic tracking system for monitoring Articulation Agreements and partnering with different departments to develop a BANNER Articulation Module that will streamline the enrollment of transfer students.
-Title V Grant duties include:
fulfilling grant responsibilities pertaining to the transfer initiatives as
stipulated in the Title V Grant; directing the University of La Verne Transfer
Center as stipulated by the Title V Grant; directing the electronic tracking of

The duties of this position include four key areas: (1)Create a portfolio of individuals or organizations capable of giving between $2500 and $50,000 and conduct at least 20 personal visits with prospective donors each month (2) By the end of the first year, meet, qualify and develop donor plans for at least 30 individuals and/or businesses rated as being able to give at least $10,000 annually (3) Successfully manage, implement & achieve the program & fundraising goals of the Board of Visitors (4)Work closely with the Dean, faculty and leaders of the College of Law to achieve the fundraising plan for their priority programs. Additional responsibilities include formulating, defining and implementing strategies that interest major donors in the university; providing stewardship and volunteer involvement for major donors and high level volunteers; continually identifying new prospective donors and volunteers; maintaining an active schedule of contacts, activities and solicitations; facilitating appropriate relationships between current and prospective major donors and the president, administrators, faculty, and staff of the university; maintaining a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the university’s mission, vision, and current programs; and other duties as assigned.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience with three years of direct fundraising experience and proven success in securing major gifts through personal solicitation. A Master’s degree is preferred.
The successful candidate must demonstrate successful experience and effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building, and solicitation; must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to give attention to detail, be goal and results oriented, self motivated, and possess the ability to make independent decisions; be a collaborative and team oriented; demonstrate sound judgment when dealing with a wide range of relationships and situations; possess the ability to maintain enthusiasm for hard work, changing priorities, and multiple deadlines, as well as the ability to interact well with a diverse community of faculty, students, and constituents.
This position may require a flexible work schedule, including some overnight travel, evening and weekend meetings and work hours.
