Academic Assessment Committee

Following the institution-wide assessment plan, the University of La Verne academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels conduct assessments of student learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are assessed in General Education (Common Competencies) and within majors and programs (Specific Competencies). Assessment of General Education learning outcomes are conducted under the guidance of the Academic Assessment Committee composed of representative faculty from all Colleges using a rotation schedule of about five years. Majors and programs conduct assessments of student learning outcomes as part of their program review process, again on a rotation schedule of about five years.
