Extra Curricular Activities

Many extracurricular activities are available for students. Entertainment includes concerts, dramatic productions, athletic events, public speakers, dances, and art exhibits. Many of these events are free for students. Two means of learning about campus activities include:

There is also a wide variety of student clubs and organizations on campus. Some are open to all students while membership in others is limited. All clubs recruit members during the undergraduate Club Fair, a university-sponsored event held at the beginning of each undergraduate semester.

One of the clubs international students should consider joining is The International Student Organization (ISO.) Membership in the ISO is open to all students and is active during the Fall and Spring semesters to undergraduate students. This club organizes activities for international students and friends, including travel, educational events, and service projects.

Athletic and Recreational Activities

If you enjoy sports, there are many opportunities for you. Students can use the athletic facilities on campus including basketball, tennis and volleyball courts; baseball, football, soccer, and softball fields; and a track. The university provides a weight room for physical conditioning and fitness. The Student Center, located in the Super-Tents, has table-tennis tables, fusball and other recreational equipment.

Current ULV students are allowed to use some of the athletic facilities for their own exercise. Hours and rules for use of the Weight Room are posted at the Weight Room located in the Student Center. Information about the use of other athletic facilities can be obtained at the Athletic Office located at the back of the Student Center.
