Postal Service and Other Mailing Services

The U.S. government owns the primary mail service in the U.S. Postage rates vary according to the weight and distance a package is sent. However, the rate for a normal, airmail letter to anywhere within the United States is the same.

All University of La Verne undergraduate students are entitled to a ULV mailbox. You may apply for a mailbox at the registrar's office. The boxes are located in the student center.

Where to Mail Letters and Packages

Off Campus location: on White Avenue, near Foothill.

Zip Codes

The US zip code is a 5-digit number (sometimes with four additional numbers), written at the end of the address. It directs mail to the appropriate postal office and should ALWAYS be used on mail you send and mail addressed to you. Zip code directories are available in every post office and most telephone directories contain zip codes.

Change of Address

All students should notify the university of a change in address. International students are required by law to do so. Notify the post office and the International and Study Abroad Center when you change your address.

Email

Every student at La Verne automatically receives an email account through the university. To learn about this account stop by the Office of Information Technology center and pick up an application. When you know your password, you can access your ULV account at: https://mira.ulv.edu/

Remember that all email correspondence from the university will be sent to your ULV email account. You can set your mail box so that it forwards mail to another address. To learn about this account see the following page on the web site of the ULV Office of Information Technology: http://www.ulv.edu/oit/
