Telephone Service

On Campus

The web site of the Housing and Residential Life gives information on the telephone arrangements in the residence halls:

Web: http://www.ulv.edu/housing/campuslink.phtml

Off Campus

You can receive a phone line in your house or apartment by contacting Verizon.

Web: http://www.verizon.com/

Often the most economical way to make long distance telephone calls, particularly international calls, is with a calling card. Before you make many calls to your home country, ask others from your country what they have found to be the least expensive form of making international calls.

Cell Phones

There are a number of companies offering cellular phone service in the La Verne area. The telephone book provides listings of providers. Each company offers several different plans. Consider asking others for information about their cellular phone plans before you make a decision.
