Tests and Measurements
1. Do you know what you want to measure, but do not know what tests are available? EXAMPLE: I want to measure trust in dating relationships.
A. Check the Bibliography of books at Wilson Library that include sample tests and measurements to see which book(s) might include appropriate tests.
B. Search the University of Texas at Arlington’s Tests and Measurements website. To use this site, type your keyword(s) that you want to search in the RefShare Search box on the top right-hand side of the screen.
C. Search Mental Measurements Yearbook. It reviews published tests and gives information on how to purchase tests, but DOES NOT include the test itself.
D. Type a keyword search into the One Search box at the top of the library home page and choose a search in general articles, education articles, or psychology articles (or other choices as appropriate), then click on FIND IT! EXAMPLE: trust and "dating relationships". Look at the articles returned to see what test(s) they cite.
E. Search articles you may have already found during your literature search process to see what tests they may have used.
F. Make an appointment with a librarian at Wilson Library for a research appointment if you are having difficulty locating an appropriate test or measurement.
