Application Process
At the University of La Verne, we strive to make the application process as quick and easy as possible.
La Verne is an exclusive user of the Common Application. To apply, please visit the Common Application website. Then, select "Create Your Account" to set up a user name and password. You may save your work without submitting the application and return to it at a later time.

Please read these instructions carefully before applying:

The Office of Admission needs all required documents before evaluating applications.

The application fee is $50. Please make the check or money order payable to University of La Verne.

Prepare a personal statement of approximately 500 words or two double-spaced typed pages. A space is provided on the online application. You do not need to submit your statement separately when applying online.

Request official transcripts:

Freshman Applicants: request that transcripts of high school records and all college work attempted be sent to the Office of Admission. \

Transfer Applicants: request that transcripts from all colleges attended be sent to the Office of Admission.

Submit the results of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT) to the Office of Admission. Test scores may be submitted as part of the official high school transcript. Transfer students with at least 28 semester hours of college credit need not submit test scores.

A letter of recommendation must be submitted on your behalf by a teacher or counselor in order to complete your application for admission. Or, you may download a recommendation form here.

The priority deadline for Fall freshman applicants is February 1. The priority deadline for Fall transfer applicants is April 1.

Freshman and transfer applications for the Spring semester should be received by December 1.

The University of La Verne is on rolling admission. Applications received after the priority deadlines will continue to be accepted as space permits.

Upon notification of admission to the University of La Verne, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is payable by May 1. This will signify acceptance of our offer of admission and reserve the student's place at the University. Students admitted after May 1 must make the deposit within 15 days of their admission. The payment of the deposit will be credited to the student's account.
Applying for Financial Aid
All applicants seeking need-based financial aid must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact your high school counselor or college financial aid office for forms.
