

Property Ownership
The University of La Verne owns approximately 36 acres and leases another
2 acres adjacent to downtown La Verne and has acquired from Mike Brown
a 20-acre parcel south of Arrow Highway. In addition, it leases certain
properties. In 2005, the University and the City of La Verne acquired an
additional 36 acres of open space contiguous with the Mike Brown parcel.
The land is jointly-owned and currently the University and the City are
involved in the planning of joint use athletic facilities as depicted on the map
below.
Area Land Use and Area Zoning
The maps on the following pages depict the City of La VerneÕs Land Use Plan
and Zoning Plan designations for the UniversityÕs property as well as
immediately surrounding parcels. In addition, the core campus falls within the
boundaries of the CityÕs Specific Plan for Lordsburg. The Campus West
property is currently zoned BP (Business Park) and is part of the Arrow
Corridor Specific Plan.
Buildings
The University main campus currently occupies over 515,000 gross square
feet of facilities in buildings built from as early as 1905 to as recently as 2003.
The Existing Land Use Plan refers to charts on the following pages that
designate the current general use of these buildings, their addresses, estimated
gross square footages and the year they were built or renovated.
