Shark research Bimini Bahamas, Winter, Spring 2004 Opportunities for shark research in the Bahamas, Winter, Spring 2004. Volunteer positions at the Bimini Biological Field Station, Sharklab will be available starting February 15, 2002 and continuing through 2004. The Bimini Biological Field Station in collaboration with marine biologists from Drexel Institute of Technology (Philadelphia), University of West Florida and The Field Museum (Chicago) will be conducting field research on aspects of lemon shark life history involving essential fish habitat for a shark nursery, breeding biology and behavioral ecology using telemetry-tracking and GIS analysis. A third, continuing project concerning the genetics of reproductive biology will involve intensive tagging and collection of DNA from lemon sharks born at Bimini lagoon (see http://wetpixel.com/features/pit ), Atol das Rocas Brazil and the Marquesas Keys, Florida
