Division NewsUniversity of La Verne receives $400,000 NSF Grant to help attract, retain Math and Computer Science Students University of La Verne receives $400,000 NSF Grant to help attract, retain Math and Computer Science Students The University of La Verne has been awarded a $400,000 grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support a university initiative to enhance recruitment, retention and graduation rates of undergraduate computer science, computer engineering and mathematics (CSEM) students. Effective Sept. 1, 2004, the four-year grant will provide approximately 30 scholarships annually to qualifying students enrolling in those programs.
