New Features for the Latest E-mail System Release
**ULV upgraded to the latest Mirapoint e-mail release on Saturday, August 26, 2006.**
The user Guide for ULV's New Webmail on this Web site have not been fully updated yet to reflect the changes incorporated since the latest system release that was installed on 08/26/2006. In the meantime, use the Help link on the left pane after logging into Webmail to view our e-mail vendor's latest ( but unmodified) Webmail help guide.
New features in the latest release for Webmail and Mail Protocol Enhancements
- Graphics and other sourced content originating at third-party websites (often used as a form of spyware) are automatically blocked by default. Users can display the blocked content if they determine that the message is from a trusted sender. To unblock once, click "Show Content" while viewing a message. To unblock permanently, select option preference "Show external content immediately". Browser behavior may vary.
- When users forward an e-mail in the new WebMail release, the message icon changes to look as if the user had replied to the e-mail.
- Mail queue performance has been improved in this release.
- APOP proxying is now supported. Add secret keys using Key New Pop and create trust relationships using "Trustedhost Add" Popgroup.
- A new MailHurdle option significantly reduces the amount of e-mail subject to retry challenge.
New features in the latest release for Calendaring and E-mail Clients
- Over 200 bugs have been fixed for the newly released SynQ 2.4 product version, benefiting shared Webcal/Outlook calendar end users.
- Participants can now edit events that they do not own using the "Attendee Update" option. Outlook users must have a version of the SynQ add-in (2.4) that supports this feature.
