Alex Gallardo Alexander (Alex) Gallardo is a Sports Photo Editor and Staff Photographer for the Los Angeles Times, where he's worked since 1989. A graduate of the University of La Verne with the Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Concentration in Photojournalism, Alex has covered numerous seasons of NFL, major college sports, NHL, NBA and Major League Baseball; shooting and editing several Super Bowls, NBA Finals, NCAA playoffs, NHL playoffs, MLB playoffs, World Series and Olympics. Alex earned NPPA Region 10 Photographer of the Year while working at the San Bernardino Sun prior to joining the Times.

Nancy Newman works as a freelance photographer, dividing her time among corporate accounts, marketing and public relations events, fashion, sports, and special family moments. Prior to her freelance career, Nancy spent more than 10 years on the staffs of several newspapers in the Los Angeles area. In 1989 she was graduated from the University of La Verne with the Bachelor of Arts, Journalism, Concentration in Photojournalism. She has served three years as President of the Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles and another 8 years on the Board of Directors. Additionally, she has been active in the National Press Photographers Association, the Los Angeles Press Club and the California Press Photographers Association.

Liz Lucsko works as a digital technician at Industrial Color, spending her time between the Miami and New York offices working on fashion photography shoots. Liz was graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of La Verne in 2003. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, New York. Liz studied and taught traditional black and white processing and printing at the Syracuse University London Centre before returning to ULV in 2006 to teach Elementary Photography. Her passion for photography arises from the sincerity of portraiture and the integrity of the silver print.

Dr. Chapman Dr. Neil Chapman is professor and chair of the PhotoGraphics Department at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. During the first 23 years in photography Neil was using the 4X5 view camera, mostly in black and white. His commercial studio work was exclusively color, concentrating on product photography. Since 2002 he has worked exclusively digitally, now with the Canon 20D and 5D. Neil's extensive work includes a book of portraits of Native American potters in Santa Clara pueblo, titled Santa Clara Portraits: A Proud Tradition. Most recently he has been working in digital color, in the urban environment.

Christy Jewell earned the BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design 1982. She began a successful career in automotive photography, eventually joining Petersen's Publishing as a staff photographer for Motor Trend, Motorcyclist and Guns and Ammo magazines. Following her work with Petersen's Christy was hired at A&I Color Lab where she served as laboratory manager for 6 years. After A&I, she accepted a position at Samy's Camera where she managed the Pro Department and worked in corporate sales for 10 years. In 2005 she accepted a new position at Calumet Photographic in Hollywood, where she works today. At Calumet Christy specializes in high-end digital backs and continues to work with corporate accounts, including NASA, Boeing and Raytheon.

Jeff Leard was graduated from The University of La Verne in 1996 with undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Psychology. For 8 years, he worked in freelance and staff photography in Los Angeles, Chicago and Baltimore and was also assigned internationally. Jeff most recently worked as a staff photographer with Patuxent Publishing Company, a newspaper chain in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. region. Jeff also holds a Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in school psychology from Towson University. In August 2005, he began a career as a school psychologist for the Howard County Public School System in Maryland. Jeff continues to pursue photography as a freelance commercial photographer and wedding photojournalist.

Christopher Northup has served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Keystone Automotive Industries since 1996. Since joining the company in 1983, Christopher has maintained responsibilities in operations, sales and brand development. During Christopher's tenure the company has expanded from a $12 million family-operated plating business to a $725 million international corporation with 3800 team members marketing directly into all facets of the collision repair industry. In addition to his duties as an officer at Keystone, Christopher works as the primary industry spokesperson for the company and currently serves on the I-CAR Education Foundation Board, a collision repair training agency, as well as other collision industry committees and boards. Christopher was graduated from the University of La Verne in 1981, with a degree in Journalism, emphasis in photojournalism.

Carla Rhea Carla Rhea is a professional and freelance photographer living and working in Southern California. She has spent 18 years working for clients as an events and lifestyle-portrait photographer. Carla’s work has appeared in Orange Coast Magazine, Rivera Magazine, 714 Magazine, Arizona Woman and others. Her portfolio includes contract work for The Body Beaute, Festival of Children, Orange County Museum of Art, Salvation Army, Coast Concierge Service, O.C. Child Abuse Prevention Center, Madeline Zuckerman Public Relations and Marketing, among others. During her career she has photographed many sports events, including the Lakers and Dodgers, as well as Nobel Laureate Elie Weisel and the late civil rights activist Caesar Chavez. Carla was graduated from the University of La Verne in 1990.

Tom Zasadzinski has worked as the University Photographer at Cal Poly Pomona since 2001, providing images for the University's publications and websites. Tom maintains an active membership in the University Photographers Association of America and continues to accept a few assignments as a freelance photographer. Before joining Cal Poly, Tom served as senior photographer at the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin newspaper in Ontario, California, in a newspaper career that extended for more than 17 years. He holds the Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of La Verne, where he served as both the Photography Editor and Editor-in-Chief for the Campus Times.
