I am a part-time clinical supervisor at ULV and meet with trainees on a regular basis to discuss their learning processes and developmental needs as therapists in training. Before coming to ULV, I also worked at other university counseling centers because I enjoy working with the college age population and being in a learning environment. In addition to supervising, I have a private practice in Long Beach and teach a beginning psychology class at a local community college. My theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral with humanistic, developmental and socio-cultural influences. Though I consider myself a generalist, I have also been involved in body image research and working with women who are dealing with eating disorders. I believe that therapy is one tool that can help many people to feel better about themselves and the situations they are experiencing.
