Rationale:
Measure:
Objective 2: Students will understand the importance of policies and procedures as related to the accommodation process.
Rationale:
It is important that our students receiving accommodations know that the process is about 'leveling the playing field' and not a guarantee of success. They are held to the same standards as our non disabled students aside from specific accommodations.Measure:
: At the end of each semester a survey will be sent to our students, via e-mail, addressing various accommodation services. Using the likert Scale (5 - strongly agree, 4 - agree, 3 - neutral, 2 - disagree, 1 - strongly disagree) assessment, students will be asked the following questions: 1) did you feel that the accommodations allowed you an opportunity to succeed in your course work; 2) did you find that your instructors understood your disability needs and were willing to work with you to facilitate learning; 3) did you find the testing procedures to be fair; 4) if applicable, were your technology needs met; and 5) do you feel that our university community is a positive environment for students who have disabilities;Questions regarding the programs and outcomes outlined in this section should be addressed to Cynthia Denne, Director of Student Health Services and Services for Students with Disabilities, (909) 593.3511, ext. 4441 or dennec@ulv.edu.
