Campus Activities Board Students
- 1. Students will learn, enhance, and put into practice program planning, implementation and evaluation skills.
- 2. Students will learn how to effectively and efficiently manage a set program budget.
- 3. Students will learn how to effectively and creatively market their programs.
- 4. Students will learn how negotiate and contract with outside vendors, agencies and talent.
- 5. Students will enhance career-preparation skills such as but not limited to: interviewing, resume writing, presenting, critical thinking, problem solving, and customer service.
- 6. Students will learn how to effectively recruit, train and manage student volunteers.
- 7. Students will develop positive relationships with University of La Verne staff.
- 8. Students will discover that the campus celebrates diversity through its support of many different organizations, resources, events and academic activities; Students will learn to appreciate and value diversity.
- 9. Through employment, students will be able to meet the financial obligations of the University of La Verne and complete their degree requirements.
- 10. Students will develop a healthy sense of who they are, areas where they excel and areas of future improvement. As a result of employment, they will have higher self-awareness and greater self-esteem.
Campus Activities Board Program Participants
- 1. Through programmatic offerings, student participants will become more socially integrated to the University of La Verne community.
- 2. Through programmatic offerings, student participants will be exposed to and learn from, topics, programs and services, not currently represented at the University of La Verne.
- 3. Students will discover that the campus celebrates diversity through its support of many different organizations, resources, events and academic activities; Students will learn to appreciate and value diversity.
- 4. Participation in CAB events and programs will lead to greater satisfaction with the college environment, reinforcing a desire to continue academic pursuits, while at the same time creating a situation whereby the college experience facilitates personal growth and development.
