Greek Life
- 1. Students will be able to articulate the values of their own individual organization as well as Greek Life as a whole at the University of La Verne.
- 2. Through community service and philanthropy programs, students will understand what it means to be part of a larger community and the value of giving back to that community.
- 3. Through social programs and activities, students will develop meaningful friendships and relationships with other students at the University of La Verne.
- 4. Students will develop positive relationships with University of La Verne staff through advising and administration of the Greek organization.
- 5. Through their individual local or national organizations and the University of La Verne Office of Student Life trainings students will develop and enhance their individual leadership skills and abilities.
- 6. Students will discover that the campus celebrates diversity through its support of many different organizations, resources, events and academic activities; Students will learn to appreciate and value diversity.
- 7. Students will learn to work with financial decisions affecting their organization; plan and prioritize goals; implement organization programs, services and resources.
- 8. Students will learn to recruit, train and maintain new student participation within their Greek organization
- 9. Students will develop autonomy, individual identity, and mature interpersonal relationships.
- 10. Participation in Greek Organizations will lead to greater satisfaction with the college environment, reinforcing a desire to continue academic pursuits, while at the same time creating a situation whereby the college experience facilitates members' personal growth and development.
