Campus Audit:

One of the main purposes of creating a Sustainable Campus Task Force was to implement an environmental audit of the ULV campus. Therefore, in order to get a handle on the diverse issues across campus, we have created seven categories to include in the audit:

  1. Energy Efficiency, including electricity and natural gas

  2. Water Efficiency

  3. Landscaping

  4. Transportation

  5. Recycling and Waste Reduction

  6. Reducing Toxins

  7. Environmental Lessons, including project ideas.

The purpose of these categories is to help us break the large, sometimes daunting task of making improvements in all areas of the campus into smaller pieces that we can get our hands around. Each category has a page on this website in which you will find data collected for the campus audit. The data collected is meant to be not only an “audit,” but a baseline to help measure the progress of projects as they are implemented. Each of these pages links to the project ideas page to help you get started on projects to help ULV become more environmentally responsible.
