Congratulations! ULV has won a state reward for recycling!
Since September 1st 2002 we have collected 100,000 pounds of cardboard and paper
for recycling. This accomplishment has netted the campus a WRAP (Waste
Reduction Awards Program) award from the California Integrated Waste
Management Board.
ULV is one of only 5 educational institutions in the state to receive this
award. Let’s keep up the good work! Now, the blue bins on campus are for all
recyclable materials, not just paper and cardboard! Be sure to recycle your
paper, plastic, cans, glass, etc. by putting these items in the bins. Please
continue to put cardboard beside the bins for collection.
See the Campus Times October 17th issue for more information.

Past Events:
Orientation 2003 took place the last week of August. Representatives from the
task force, Nicole Forrest and Amy Hoffman, greeted each group of touring new
students in Davenport Dining Hall, along with task force member and Director of
Campus Restaurants, Aaron Neilson. The three gave out tips, recycling
information, and the new Sodexho Recycle Mug.
The tips were based on a PowerPoint presentation compiled from tips for
saving the environment as suggested by ULV students, faculty, and staff. Click
