April Hava Shenkman (2002) has been writng and performing solo works in at the Pomona Arts Colony in Pomona, CA, and with the Rachel Rosenthal group The Fauve Conspiracy. One of her first pieces since graduating ULV was Pink Clouds Over Capricorn, which played on December 11, 12 and 13, 2003 at the Progress Building in Pomona and was directed by Hilary Hahn (2004). The show played again at the Tamarind Theatre in Hollywood on August 11th & 18th, 2004. Other venues she has performed at include Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, the Unknown Theatre in Hollywood. In March 2006 she returned to ULV for the EnGendering Diversity conference to perform Cosmic Cupcake Conniption.

Summer of 2007 saw April's solo show "April Fools" PIG performing at Highways Performance Space.

A theatrical circus of the absurt harboring Faces of the FoolA non-sensical mirage, exposing the naked joy of the joke, the onward march of the fools, splashed with "Happy New Year!" moments of trick and treat surrealism of a surrendered subconscious; juxtaposed by the haunting humility of humanism. Visually electric, and poignantly directed inside out. A hope to tap the un-tapped potential in us all, beyond mental reception, with the urgent need, to WAKE PEOPLE UP!
