	In the Classroom
		Acting Emphasis
		All students take two acting courses: THAR 200 Theatre, Acting & Performance THAR 210 Acting Studio THAR 200 is the gateway course for all incoming majors as well as for students from other disciplines. This course provides the basic building blocks that are necessary for a full immersion into the acting studios. Our approach to performance is developed from the Institute for Conscious Acting philosophy which is available only at ULV and not in any textbook. Transfer students are recommended to take THAR 200 even if they have had Intro to Theatre or Intro to Acting courses..


						Students with an emphasis in acting will take electives from the following: THAR 310 Advanced Acting Studio THAR 111/211 Private Acting Lessons THAR 315 Performance Interterm THAR 202 Performance Art THAR 212/312 Acting for the Camera THAR 410 Power of Story Independent Studies Study Abroad at GSA
