The mission of the College of Business and Public Management is to provide our online undergraduate and graduate students with a broad-based management education that emphasizes the application of theory to management practice and builds conceptual skills and core values needed to become effective leaders and managers in today's rapidly changing global business environment.
The Organizational Management Major is designed primarily for the working adult who would like to improve management and organizational skills while earning a bachelor's degree. The program is constructed in two parts. The core requirements stress general management skills, with a focus on immediate application in the work setting, and also include the opportunity for student research. The second part of the program offers a wide range of electives from a variety of disciplines, allowing the student greater flexibility to choose those courses which best suit his or her career path. Minimum units required for the major - 40 units.
Applicants to the Online Organizational Management degree program will be considered for admission if they have completed a minimum of 32 semester hours of transferable college credit from a regionally accredited college or university. The 32 semester hours should include English 110. If a student does not have English 110 completed, it can be the first course the student enrolls in online. Applicants whose cumulative GPA is less than 2.00 must consult with an Academic Advisor to determine admission status before enrolling in any courses.
